1 What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and improve your experience. Cortex AI uses a minimal set of cookies — only what's essential for the service to work.
2 Cookies We Use
Here is a complete list of every cookie set by Cortex AI:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
cortex_token |

cortex_cookie_consent |
Remembers your cookie consent choice | Persistent | Essential |

3 Essential Cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function. Without them, you cannot sign in or use the dashboard.
cortex_token— An HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite cookie that stores your encrypted session. We cannot access this via JavaScript. It is set when you sign in with Google and removed when you log out.cortex_cookie_consent— Stored in localStorage (not a cookie technically) to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies.
4 Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. These cookies are only set if you accept cookies via the consent banner.
If you click "Reject" on the cookie banner, GA4 is disabled entirely and no analytics cookies will be set.
- We do not use GA4 data for advertising
- We do not share analytics data with third parties
- IP addresses are anonymized by GA4 by default
5 Third-Party Cookies
We do not set any third-party tracking, advertising, or social media cookies. The following third-party services may set their own cookies during specific interactions:
- Google OAuth — During sign-in, Google may set cookies on their domain. See Google's Cookie Policy.
- LemonSqueezy — During checkout, LemonSqueezy may set cookies on their domain. See LemonSqueezy's Privacy Policy.
6 Managing Cookies
You have full control over cookies:
- Cookie banner — Use the "Accept" or "Reject" button when you first visit. This controls analytics cookies.
- Browser settings — You can delete or block cookies in your browser's privacy settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in.
- Reset consent — Clear your browser's localStorage to see the cookie banner again.
We respect your choice. If you reject analytics cookies, we get zero tracking data from your visits. The site works exactly the same either way.
7 Changes
We may update this cookie policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We will not add new categories of cookies (e.g., advertising) without updating this page and resetting consent.
